Last week we looked at Christ's glory in the midst of tribulation. This week we see his means of comfort to persevere. All believers face tribulations (2 Tim 3:12). Is there any comfort? The disciples are in great heartache. Suddenly, everything they thought about Jesus came crashing down. Jesus, knowing he would be betrayed, rejected by his disciples, and forsaken by his father, takes time to minister to his disciples. He wants them to persevere.
We see 4 reasons we can be comforted to persevere:
1) The Person of Jesus
2) The Preparation of Jesus
3) The Promise of Jesus
4) The Proclamation of Jesus
